Therese has welcomed today’s announcement from the Prime Minister that an additional £1.8 billion worth of funding has been made available to help deliver more beds, new equipment and additional wards for local hospitals.
Therese said: “This extra investment is great news for our local mental health services – with a £40m boost to the Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust to build 4 new hospital wards, providing 80 beds. Patients in the northern part of Suffolk Coastal will also benefit from a £70m investment, improving Diagnostic and Assessment Centres at the James Paget and Norfolk & Norwich hospitals.”
