National Service Survey

We will introduce a bold new model of National Service for 18-year-olds.

This will give young people real world skills, while contributing to their country and community.  Young people will have two choices. They can be a volunteer in the community civil resilience functions, which could include being a NHS responder, a RNLI volunteer, helping with nature and flood defences. They can also apply to serve in the defence of our country in cyber security or the conventional armed forces.  We expect at most 5% of young people will join the armed or cyber forces.
