The East Suffolk Catchment Partnership has today launched the River Deben Action Plan following the roundtable Therese convened in Woodbridge last summer. The Essex and Suffolk Rivers Trust worked with partners including the Upper Deben Farm Cluster, the River Deben Association and Anglian Water to create the plan.
Therese said: "The overarching Plan for Water, which I launched whilst Environment Secretary, set out the government’s expectation that these Action Plans should be tailored to their own specific catchment area. This plan does that, particularly in relation to working with farmers to improve livestock management and reducing nutrient pollution, as well as enhancing wildlife habitat quality and river resilience. I look forward to seeing the water quality of the River Deben vastly improve as it is implemented."
