The Environment Agency’s Field Team has now completed the works at Easton Broad to relieve flooding on the B1127 at Potters Bridge.
Therese said: "This is great news. I was on site last week (pictured) to check on progress and have been pressing the case for the work to be completed ASAP following the gaining of the Magistrates Court Warrant to access the private land. The reinstated channel, completed yesterday, will ensure the water drains from the broad to the sea, rather than pooling in the road. According to the EA periodic storm surges or heavy rainfall may still create some road flooding but the duration of any event should be significantly reduced with an effective outfall to the sea."
