Today, the government is introducing new laws designed to stop the boats. The Illegal Migration Bill ensures that if you come to the UK illegally you will be detained, deported and denied the opportunity to ever re-enter our country again.
This is how we will break the business model of the people smugglers and take back control of our borders. Instead, under this Bill, Parliament will set an annual cap on the number of refugees settled via safe and legal routes.
