Therese has welcomed the bumper budget addressing the immediate situation on coronavirus and also delivering on our election promises for families and businesses. The Chancellor has also set out that East Suffolk will get significant investment in its road network to reduce congestion.
The improvements include the rebuilding of the Copdock roundabout and improvements for the A12 at Martlesham and Woodbridge, which are part of the Road Investment Strategy for 2020-25.
Therese said: “This is great news for our part of Suffolk. All seven Suffolk MPs pressed the case on improvements on the Copdock Roundabout. This announcement shows that our collective lobbying on behalf of residents has paid off. Thanks too to the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for all they have done to highlight the problem. I’m also thrilled that money has been allocated to improve the A12 which is badly needed to reduce congestion and delays.”
