'Make good use of bad rubbish' is the motto of the Wombles who hit Westminster recently to launch this year’s Great British Spring Clean, led by environmental charity, Keep Britain Tidy – and with one month to go, Suffolk Coastal MP, Therese Coffey is encouraging people to get involved.
The campaign runs from March 20th to April 13th and will see up to 600,000 people taking action to clean up streets, parks and beaches across the country with events taking place across East Anglia.
Therese said: “In previous years I have joined various litter picks and beach cleans – and am hoping to join in with one again this year. I would encourage others to sign up too so we can help tackle the scourge of litter on our environment. We all need to be united to make littering an unacceptable habit of the past.”
