Statement from Therese on the B1127 road flooding:
"I’ve met and pressed the case with the Environment Agency on multiple occasions to expedite a solution to relieve flooding at Potters Bridge on the B1127, including encouraging them to use the powers available under the Water Resources Act.
Following a failure from the landowners to provide access, the Environment Agency has now served formal notices and is undertaking proceedings to gain a Magistrates’ Court Warrant - and although a court date hasn’t yet been confirmed, I understand they are in a position to start work immediately as soon as the Warrant is obtained. I will keep pressing on this issue to ensure it’s brought to a satisfactory conclusion."
