Therese has today warmly welcomed the announcement from Government and Vodafone that good 4G coverage will be made available to 95% of the UK landmass by 2025 - crucial for rural areas.
The new shared rural network will be funded through a £500m boost from central government with the mobile phone industry contributing over half a billion too.
Therese said: “This is fantastic news for Suffolk communities. One of issues most frequently raised on my annual constituency tour is poor mobile signal - and this announcement will help ensure people are connected.”
“I’m also delighted that this new agreement will mean the majority of masts will be shared by all four major mobile phone operators, giving consumers and businesses a wider choice of providers in remote areas.”
