Therese visited Hazlewood Hall Farm in Friston recently to see first-hand how Suffolk Coastal pig farmers continue to champion industry leading animal welfare standards and provide essential resilience and support to our domestic food supply chain.
Therese said: "It was a pleasure to meet Michael Clarke of Friston Farms, who has partnered with Waitrose and provides local pork to Waitrose’s shop in Saxmundham. Michael shared with me the care he takes to guarantee the highest quality of pork for British customers, working together with market suppliers to encourage a resilient and green future for the industry."
"As both the local MP and Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, I was pleased to see the meaningful steps Friston Farms are taking in partnership with Waitrose to promote high standards of pig welfare, farmed sustainably and transparently from farm to fork."
