Therese met the founder of The BASIC Life Charity, Graham Denny, at their Felixstowe shop recently.
Graham has worked for over 20-years to help the most vulnerable in our society. More recently, working in partnership with local supermarkets he has established pop-up food shops. This combines the redistribution of surplus food that would otherwise go to waste with the selling of fresh and non-perishable products at really cheap prices.
By enabling people to pay for a bag and then being able to fill the bag with as much as they require, the charity has been able to help people who otherwise may not accept help from elsewhere.
Well done to Graham and his dedicated group of volunteers.
