Nineteen churches in Suffolk Coastal have benefitted from the latest round of the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, totalling £57.5k. The government-funded scheme covers the VAT on repairs of over £1,000 to listed buildings used as places of worship.
The grants include just under £14k for St Peter's Church in Theberton and Eastbridge and benefit places of worship in Felixstowe; Foxhall; Rendlesham; Dunwich; Woodbridge; Halesworth; Southwold; Covehithe; Sibton; Levington and Leiston.
Suffolk has hundreds of listed churches and I’m glad this scheme is helping to facilitate their repair. More information including how to apply for the future can be found here.
