Thérèse was presented today with a piece of artwork of Orford Ness in Suffolk Coastal as a celebration of the local area. The piece, by Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year finalist Fujiko Rose, was donated by Sky to mark the launch of Sky Arts as a free-to-air channel.
“It was a pleasure to meet Fujiko and I am delighted that Orford Ness was chosen as one of just 40 sites across the UK to mark the launch. There has never been a more critical time to support the UK’s vibrant arts sector. I am hopeful that in launching Sky Arts as available to everyone, Sky can inspire greater participation in the arts from new and diverse audiences and I encourage constituents to take advantage of this cultural programming which is now available to watch free of charge.”
