Yesterday the Prime Minister and NHS England Chief Executive, Simon Stevens launched a long-term plan for the NHS, which includes the biggest cash boost to the health service in its history.
Therese said: "I particularly welcome the focus on supporting our ageing population and increasing independence, which is something Suffolk GPs and health professionals have raised with me in the past. Importantly, mental health provision will also be boosted by an additional £2.3bn a year."
"This additional money has given the health service the certainty it needs to deliver its 10-year long-term plan meaning they can get on and recruit more doctors and nurses - ensuring the NHS is there for you and your family in the future as it has been in the past."
