This morning, Therese launched the Kickstart Scheme, giving unemployed young people six-month work placements - with their wages paid for by the government.
Household names like Tesco have already signed up and she's encouraging businesses of all sizes to apply. There is no limit on the number of places.
Therese said: "As Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, I know that young people are leaving education into an extremely difficult jobs market, so we are stepping in to provide more help, subsiding wages until at least December 2021. Applicants will be referred into the roles by their Jobcentre Plus work coach providing them with an amazing opportunity to get the security of a regular wage packet and the experience to progress further in their career."
