As well as growing and producing high-quality food that we all eat and enjoy, farmers are often pillars of their community. Whether it’s maintaining our landscapes, helping neighbors or raising money for charity.
This year the National Farmers Union have launched a new Community Farming Award and they’re encouraging MPs to submit nominations. Therese wants to ensure as many of our farmers get the recognition they deserve so if you know a local farmer, grower or producer who also goes above and beyond helping the community, please do get in contact. The winner will be announced on Back British Farming Day on the 14th of September.
