The Government has made mental health a priority – and is doing what is needed to ensure the NHS treats mental health as seriously as physical health. With record funding for the NHS, the Government has ensured that budgets locally will rise too.
Therese said: "I'm pleased that the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group has recently decided to invest £1m towards a new crisis service that will offer support to young people with mental health problems. This outreach service will see professionals visiting young people in their own environment."
"The funding will also provide a £500 personal health budget, which can be used to help patients take control of their own health."
