Following concerns from Halesworth residents that it has been difficult for them to book their booster jabs, local MP, Therese Coffey, has been pressing the Chief Executive of Waveney & Norfolk CCG, Melanie Craig. They have since confirmed that 1,000 of 2,330 eligible people have had their third jab in Halesworth with the GP practice running three clinics a week. Cutlers Hill Pharmacy is now also offering slots on the national booking system.
Therese said: “Ever since I heard there was an issue, I’ve been pressing the CCG to improve the situation. I’m, therefore, delighted that Cutlers Hill Pharmacy is now part of the national booking system – allowing those eligible to book slots directly rather than waiting to hear from their GP.”
Therese added: “I know these slots will be popular – and will be getting booked up fast, so I’ve also asked if there is anything further the Clinical Commissioning Group can do to increase the number of local clinics.”
“It’s absolutely crucial that those eligible take up their third vaccination. My ongoing thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers who are delivering this life-saving service.”
