General Election on June 8th

Following a vote in the House of Commons yesterday – a General Election will now be held on 8th June.

Therese said: "This election is about securing the strong and stable leadership the country needs to see us through Brexit and beyond. Whether you voted Leave or Remain, the decision has been made and we need to deliver a Brexit that works for everyone in this country.

The choice is between strong and stable leadership in the national interest with Theresa May – or weak and unstable coalition government. A strong Conservative Government will also deliver our plan for a stronger Britain, building on our strong economy but also creating a fairer society where success is based on merit, not privilege.

I was delighted to be re-elected as your Member of Parliament in 2015 and over the last two years, as with the previous five, I have been a strong voice for residents and businesses. I hope you will give me your support again to continue to make our part of Suffolk an even better place to live and work but most important of all, please do use your vote."
