Following the Chancellor's Budget announcement to introduce a £300m fund to help small businesses hit with large business rate increases, the Government is consulting on how the fund will be administered.
The consultation asks for views on the criteria of the fund and the amount of money each local authority receives. Provisionally, Waveney District Council has been allocated £417,000 in the first year and Suffolk Coastal District Council has been allocated £406,000.
You can access the consultation via https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/discretionary-business-rates-relief-scheme
All responses need to be received by 11:45pm on 7th April.
