Therese Visits Felixstowe Centre to Mark Seafarers' Awareness Week

This week is Seafarers' Awareness Week - and to mark the occasion Therese paid a visit to Felixstowe Seafarers Centre where shemet some sailors and the Centre Manager, Anita Mazur.

Therese said: "The Seafarers' Centre is an oasis on the port where seafarers are made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff and volunteer helpers. The centre is a place where seafarers can relax and unwind away from the ship, with a touch of greenery in the garden tended by Cllr Doreen Savage. There is a chapel for worship services and private prayer, a bar, shop, recreation area for table top games, TV room and a quiet room to sit and write home. The minibus service run by the centre also allows sailors to head into town. I'm proud that such a fantastic service exists within Suffolk Coastal."
