Therese has nominated Rendlesham based firm GAH Refrigeration Ltd for a Parliamentary corporate responsibility award as a result of their excellent work to help reduce air pollution and climate change. The awards are being run by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Corporate Responsibility to recognise companies which go beyond mere compliance to support their local communities.
Therese said: "I'm delighted to nominate GAH Refrigeration for a Business Champion Award. When I visited them last November I was highly impressed by their innovative and responsible approach to doing business."
"GAH are the UK market leaders in supplying powerful and fuel efficient refrigeration systems to large supermarkets and smaller companies. Their systems are designed with features to reduce the impact on the environment by being lighter and quieter but also, are working towards systems that can be operated on electric vehicles or hybrid vehicles."
Therese added: "What is particularly special about GAH is their ongoing passion and success for improving the environment and helping the profitability and performance of their customers by reducing fuel and emissions."
GAH are a local success story, next year is their 25th anniversary and they have become a local employer for some 70 employees.
