Therese addressed the Suffolk Coast Against Retreat (SCAR) AGM on Saturday at the kind invitation of Chairman, GrahamHenderson.
Therese said: "SCAR do fantastic job in bringing together local action groups in the common pursuit of protecting our coastline. As Minister for coastal erosion, it gave me a good opportunity to set out what the Government has been doing to assist Suffolk communities to protect themselves from the power of the sea."
She added: "SCAR rightly have concerns about the lack of information from EDF on the proposed jetty for Sizewell C, an issue mirrored in my own stage 2 consultation response. It is essential EDF provide information on whether the jetty will impact coastal defences and if it does, how they will mitigate that."
