An additional £136,362 in Brexit planning funding has been allocated to Suffolk Coastal District Council for additional preparedness in regards to Felixstowe Port. This is new money on top of the already announced funding for local authority Brexit planning and is specifically targeted at Felixstowe due to the amount of EU goods handled there.
Therese said: "I welcome this further money from Government. The success of Felixstowe Port post-Brexit is an important strategic issue that affects not only the port but the many local businesses whose business relies on the port and in turn the whole local economy. I will continue to work with Suffolk Coastal District Council on this important resilience planning."
