Therese Welcomes Lloyds’ Help For Local Farmers

Lloyds Banking Group has today announced a £250m fund to provide fee free lending for farmers and businesses as part of arangeof measures to help businesses through the floods. The fund will be open from today and businesses can apply through branches and business centres.

The fund is designed to support the working capital needs of SMEs and farmers and will allow them to set up, extend, or renew overdrafts and loans completely free of arrangement fees.

Suffolk Coastal MP, Therese Coffey said: "This is welcome news for our farmers and local businesses affected by the recent floods and will help them manage their way through the current conditions. I congratulate Lloyds for showing real social responsibility in their response to the flooding."
