Therese Vows to Take Up Flood Insurance Cases

Therese is pledging her help to any constituent that has an issue with their insurance company following the recent floods.

Therese said: "I know some residents and businesses are having problems making claims and I am happy to intervene if you provide me with details of your insurance company, policy number and any specific issues that need resolving quickly." More information can be found on the flooding page of my website"

"Meanwhile, the Government is responding to support those who have suffered flooding, including help for farmers and small businesses and a £5,000 grant for households for future resilience work. Details on how those schemes will be delivered are still being worked up. More details about the Government's response can be found at".

Therese added: "I have asked the Council to work with parishes to ensure their emergency response plans are up to date. I particularly want to thank the Southwold & Reydon Community Emergency Group who helped deploy sandbags, kindly donated by builders' merchant Ridgeons, to Halesworth recently when the river Blyth began to swell. It is times like this when the community spirit in Suffolk shines through".
