Farming Recovery Fund to Help Those Affected by Floods

Therese has today welcomed the announcement from the Farming Minister, George Eustice MP, that a £10 million Farming Recovery Fund has been launched to help local farmers whose businesses have been affected by the recent floods.

Under the scheme, all farmers affected will be able to apply for emergency funding of up to £5,000, covering up to 100% of their business costs.

Therese said: "I welcome the announcement of the Government scheme which follows the Prime Ministers commitment earlier this month. It will give practical help to our local farmers affected by the floods. The scheme offers support for uninsured losses to get farms into production again ensuring that our farmers can continue growing crops and grazing livestock."

Therese added: "The scheme will go live this Friday and help and support will be available directly through the Farming Recovery Fund by e-mailing frf@defra.gsi.gov.uk or calling 0300 060 2700."

Further details on the scheme can be found here.
